What Dollar Amount Do you Place On Health And Happiness?
Would you walk away from the potential to earn 450 million dollars for more life balance? Andrew Luck did just that when he announced his retirement from pro football at age 29! The Indianapolis Colts quarterback is walking away to pursue a higher level of health and happiness.
LIFE work balance – The Choices We Have To Make
I applaud Andrew while some fans BOOED him for making what is obviously a tough decision. I personally think that is sad. Like me, Aaron Rodgers felt a little discusted at the reaction from some fans. “I think the second [emotion] is a little disgust, maybe, at the way that it was handled,” Rodgers said of his reaction to the aftermath of Luck’s decision. “Him getting booed, the word leaking out the way that it did, I thought that was a little disgusting, because here’s a guy who’s making a quality-of-life decision.”
The THRIVE Mission: To Bring More LIFE Into the Equation For Denver Overachievers
This news made me smile and reinforced my decision to start a lifestyle management company focused on LIFE work balance. Thank you Andrew Luck for reminding us that money isn’t everything and no amount of it is worth sacraficing health and happiness!
Of course, most of us are not in a position to retire at age 29. There are other options. I launched THRIVE to provide practical services and coaching options which free up time for my clients. THRIVE gives the gift of time to those ready to delegate errands and tasks by tapping into personal concierge resources. I encourage Denver professionals to contact me if interested in exploring practical solutions to managing stress related to lack of life balance. If Andrew Luck can do it you can too!
